If you've been sleeping under a rock since June, you might not have noticed: prices have pulled back hard across the Enchanted and Iconic market. This isn't a crypto winter, though. So the real question is — are you buying the dip?

Iconic Buzz Lightyear has declined to the magic Fibonacci number of 61.8%. You've Got a Friend in Me (Enchanted) hit the 78.6% retracement. Wild's Unknown overall has bottomed at a 62.8% decline. If you've purchased at the top, you're feeling the pain.

Be greedy when others are fearful. For collectors, this is one of those times — real drawdowns, rising supply. If there are cards you've been eyeing for the long haul, this looks like a reasonable window, especially in the sets that haven't recovered yet.

Not financial advice, and I'm not promoting flipping. And no, I can't predict the future — I'm not a genie…wait, you get my point. Prices are volatile and this is still a young game — it just passed its scary two-year mark and is heading into year four, staying power growing every day.

One more thing for those who've made it this far: sealed TCG product tends to rise in price over time because it's made to be opened — supply only goes down. Its price tracks age, quantity, and quality (how many big hits it can pull). Fabled, Whispers in the Well, and Winterspell all have Iconics baked into their odds and limited print runs, which gives their sealed product staying power. So peg your buy price to a percentage of sealed cost, not vibes.

Simple hypothetical: a $4,000 Fabled case averaging one Enchanted per case — at a 10% target, that card should run about $400. (The other 90% of value? Mostly to the TCG gods.) It's also why Fabled, Whispers in the Well, and Winterspell get the nod over Wilds Unknown or Attack of the Vine right now — better hit rates per case. An $800 case with two Enchanteds drops the per-card target to $40, and a lot of Wilds Unknown/Attack of the Vine Enchanteds are trading well above that relative to their odds. (These are illustrative numbers, not live quotes — check current case costs before using this as a real buy target.)

Is this a bad metric? Let us know why.
