❤️ SSR TCG Donates 2,700 Disney Lorcana Cards to Local Elementary School to Inspire New Players

As a family who runs a small trading card business and blog in the Lorcana space, We truly believe the best way to grow this hobby is to put real cards into kids’ hands and let them discover the magic for themselves.

Recently, SSR TCG donated over 2,700 Disney Lorcana cards from the Whispers in the Well set to a local elementary school as part of a community outreach project focused on introducing students to trading card games in a fun and positive way.

To make the experience meaningful and easy for first-time players, our team sorted the cards into ninety individual starter decks, each containing 30 cards. Every deck was built to be simple, colorful, and exciting—perfect for students who had never played with Lorcana cards before.

These decks were then gifted to 4th and 5th grade classrooms, giving students the chance to explore Disney Lorcana, see their favorite characters in card form, and learn the basics of collecting and trading in a safe, classroom-friendly environment.

For many of the kids, this was their very first experience with a trading card game. Watching them flip through the cards, point out characters they recognized, and immediately start trading with their classmates was easily the most rewarding part of the project. The excitement in the room reminded us that trading cards are more than collectibles—they’re a way to spark creativity, social interaction, and shared interests.

At SSR TCG, we’re proud to support our local community and help introduce the next generation of players and collectors to Disney Lorcana. Projects like this reflect what we want our store and blog to stand for: growing the hobby responsibly, supporting schools, and creating positive first experiences with trading card games.
